After this, keeping the same distance, make pits in rows. In a field of one hectare, about 500 holes can be prepared to keep a distance of 4 meters between each cavity.

After this, cow dung manure in these pits should be mixed in the soil well by adding the appropriate amount. Along with this, add the proper amount of chemical fertilizers in the holes and mix them in the soil. Finally, all the pits should be appropriately irrigated after all these activities, and these pits should be covered.

Planting Method

The pits are prepared a month before the cashew plants are planted in the field. After this, before producing the plants in the holes, the weeds present in the pits should be removed by weeding. After this, a small pit should be made in these pits, and plants should be planted in it, then after that, it should be covered well all around.

Transplanting cashew plants in the rainy season does not require initial irrigation. Due to this, the growth of plants is good, and the plants grow big too quickly.

Fertilizer and Irrigation

Cashew plants require more nutrients to grow. For this reason, its plants should be given the proper amount of fertilizer. Before planting the plants, the pits should be prepared. While preparing the holes, fill the cavities by adding dung manure. Along with this, add half a kilo of N.P.K to the soil and mix it. This whole process is done one month before planting the plants. 

Planting cashew plants in the rainy season does not require the first irrigation. However, they should be irrigated at an interval of 10 to 12 days in the winter season after the rainy season is over. The plants should be irrigated for three to four days in the same summer season.

Weed Control

To control weeds, weeding should be done in cashew fields. After this, when weeds are seen in the area from time to time, then do its hoeing. Weeding – Good growth of plants can be done by controlling weeds by hoeing.

Production and Earnings

Cashew plants start flowering after three years of transplanting, and after two months of flowering, the fruits are ready. It is also called the cashew apple. Cashew nuts are kidney-shaped in appearance. After the ripening of the fruit, red-yellow flowers appear on the kernel. Cashew kernels are poisonous. They are made edible by the technical process. First of all, their fruits are sorted and dried well in the sun, after which they are processed and prepared for eating.
